On September 24, 2016 at 12:26am, a Sandwich Police Officer attempted to make a traffic stop in the area of Green Street/Wolfe Street, Sandwich. The driver didn’t stop the vehicle and continued westbound into Somonauk. The vehicle was stopped in the area of the 100 block of Burlington Street, Somonauk. The driver was identified as 21 year old, Johnathan Butler of the 100 Block of Burlington Street, Somonauk. Johnathan was arrested and charged with Fleeing/Eluding Peace officer, Resisting Arrest, Driving Under the Influence (a) (2), Driving Under the Influence (a) (1), Illegal screeching/squealing tires, expired registration and Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Johnathan was unable to post bond and was transported to the DeKalb County Jail to await Bond call.
